government to cap car insurance premiums
government to put a cap on motor insurance prices by category, e.g different groups of driver falling into a category and having a maximum premium decided by govt, to keep prices competitive and reduce the amount of uninsured drivers,
the insurance companies are basically pricing many motorists off the road with some people being quoted £10,000 plus for their first car most times 10 times the value of the car they own.
if the govt were to regulate this industry closer uninsured driver numbers would reduce significantly.
most people are willing to be insured but cannot afford it so either go without and risk using the highway anyway, or simply let their car rust away in the driveway.
i believe if the government were to limit the premiums then the world of motoring would become a safer place
