Parliamentary Party Leaders to be appointed by party Members of Parliament
Parliamentary Party Leaderhip to be selected by MPs not the membership of a Political Party - this disadvantages non members who vote for a political party.
Excluding MPs from electing Party Leadership might lead to a Prime Minister representing less than 1% of those who voted at the ballot box.
Prime Ministers must reflect the outcomes of the ballot box and not be subject to a process of selecting Party Leadership that can be abused and manipulated - the electorate choose their respective MPs to reflect the will of the people not minority paid up members of whatever party. The electorate must trust a system that will produce a Prime Minister truly representing the voting outcomes of the ballot box

We can't accept your petition because it is the responsibility of political parties to decide how to electe their leaders, not the UK Government or Parliament as a whole.
