The outrageous bias of BBC licence fee needs to go so people have that choice

Petition Details

During the whole Brexit process the BBC on all channels has consistently showed a flagrant bias against Brexit and has clearly favoured remain The idea of being fair clearly did not sit well with them .So for those who have that feeling about it we need the choice of not paying for tv licence

Additional Information

Having watched news 24 , BBC 6 oclock news , Question time and news night the way they always talk over Brexit contributors yet give the floor to remain speakers too give their views unhindered is always quite stark .It never used to be this way .The BBC a great institution had a chance here to show it's good offices and to be a good unbiased umpire , it did from the start ride a certain horse .

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The BBC is already required to deliver impartial news by the "Royal Charter for the continuance of the British Broadcasting Corporation" and the "Agreement Between Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and the British Broadcasting Corporation". It is therefore unclear what further action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

In any case, we would not be able to accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. If you would like to submit a complaint about a BBC program, you can do so using the link below:
