Make it law that Band 2 Care Workers receive a minimum wage of £10 an hour.
Currently care workers' wages are bound by general national minimum wage laws. Create a separate min wage law for those working in care (at band 2, 3 & 4) so that care workers are adequately rewarded for the work they do and that it also makes working in care a desired career choice in the future.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure to which care workers you want a minimum wage to apply.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
There's already a petition calling for all employed carers to be paid the Living Wage, which you might like to sign. You're more likely to get action on an issue if you sign and share a single petition.
