Hold a proper referendum on E.U. membership.
Parliament has proven itself incapable of making a decision on this.
Now that the deadline has moved to the end of October,
there is time for a referendum on a choice of clearly defined options.
The options should be
Quit Brexit,
Leave without a deal,
Accept May's deal,
and any other proposals that have a chance of being agreed with the rest of the E.U.
Many think that public opinion has shifted since the last referendum.
Democracy is served by a choice between a clearly defined set of options.
A new referendum is not undemocratic.
Nobody is forced to vote for anything they don't want.
The referendum result should be binding on the government,
who should enact the option with the greatest number of votes.
