Prevent the extradition of Mr Julian Assange to the United States
Mr Julian Assange has had political asylum in the Embassy of Ecuador in London for 6 years to avoid persecution because he has exposed documents which reveal the illegal behaviour of governments including that of the United States in relation to citizen's privacy.
Mr Assange now faces court proceedings in the UK that could result in extradition to the United States where he is at risk of penalties - including the death penalty - that the UK government is legally bound to deny.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a decision for the courts, which are independent of the UK Government and Parliament.
