Ban the exchange of animals on social media unless from a charity or rescue
There are an increasing amount of animals getting into the wrong hands via social media platforms. The free kittens, cats, dogs & other animals are easy prey for dog fighting rings. Animals should be surrendered to a registered charity or rescue where possible & banned on social media.
The use of social media to advertise animals needing homes should only be allowed by registered charities or rescues. Schpok, Gumtree, Facebook & eBay should carefully monitor & ban the sale, trade or gifting of any animal.
All animals should be surrendered to rescues in which should receive government funding. If an individual surrenders an animal they should then be prohibited from owning any animal for 3 years.
