SAVE VIRGIN TRAINS! (Let them bid again!)
Virgin Trains currently operate rail journeys on the West Coast journeys, however, their contract on the route is due to expire in November 2019. Of course they would bid on the route again, but the Department for Transport have disqualified their bid.
VT have received Operator Of The Year award a number of times, and have provided lots of things the other operators haven’t provided such as automatic delay repay within three working days, text notifications, First Class lounges, Beam, Alexa and more.
VT are a company who put their customers first, and even have unbeatable ticket prices when booked in advance, along with trains formed of up to 11 coaches.
With all that positivity in VT, I believe the DfT should let them bid again!
