UK EMPLOYERS MUST HONOUR PAID BREAKS AT WORK. WORKERS ARE NOT SLAVES.
Most of the companies are not paying workers for their Rest Breaks at work. Which is very disrespectful for workers. Worker spends most of the time at work place for the company; off course for the salary, but if it’s not Modern day slavery then workers should be Honoured paid breaks at work.
Example: A colleague starts shift at 11:30am and finish at 20:00pm total 8.5 hours but company only pays for 7.5 hours.
If an hour unpaid break spend within the company and companies given time wise then why the worker should not be Honoured paid Break ? If the Company and the Employer think workers are Human being then they must respect their worker with paid breaks. Most of the the employer and company in the UK does not respect and honour paid breaks.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. At the moment, the law doesn't require rest breaks to be paid.
You can find out more about the current law here:
www.gov.uk/rest-breaks-work
You could start a new petition asking for the law to change, to require employers to pay their employees during rest breaks, if that's what you'd like to happen.
