Introduce more government funded schemes to make renewable energy accessible.
the higher demand for electricity iscausing damage to many environments and ecosystems, as well as the possible extinction of species. The energy source most present in the uk is prominently fossil fuel based, we need to take action and use renewable, a good place to start is domestically.
50% of the United Kingdom’s electricity comes from non renewable fossil fuels.
20.8% nuclear
Only 29.4% of our electricity comes from renewable sources such as electricity and wind.
A large amount of this electricity is used domestically, if renewable sources were more readily available and accessible to all households, there would be much less reliance on fossil fuels in the country, hence less greenhouse gas emissions due to not as higher demand for electricity through other sources.
