Accused NHS pension rights removal by Health Secretary is breach of human rights
Health secretary now has right to remove any NHS workers pension rights if they are accused but not convicted of an offence. It potentially strips pension purchased from salary, breaches principle of innocent until proven guilty and is wrong. Use of this power would risk complete NHS strike.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned about the recent change to the Secretary of State's powers to suspend the pension rights of NHS pension scheme members who have been charged with certain offences, but we're not sure what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
If you would like that change to be reversed, you could start a new petition setting out clearly what action you would like the Government or Parliament to take.
