Review of injury on duty pensions
Enhanced pensions are given to people who retire early through injury on duty/illness.
However , many go onto working full time in other occupations, unaffected by their injury/illness, yet still receive their enhanced pensions.
E.G DIABETES is a liveable and controllable condition yet many people retire on a pension and then receive sickness beneifits, whilst countless others continue to work with the same if not worse condition.
THE SYSTEM IS OUTDATED AND UNFAIR TO THE PEOPLE WHO WORK TO RETIREMENT AGE THEN FIND THEY ARE MEANS TESTED AND CANNOT CLAIM SICK BENEFITS BECAUSE THEY HAVE A PENSION WHICH THEYVE WORKED FOR ALL THEIR LIVES.
