Redcar & Cleveland Council are failing their community

Additional Information

Ministers to intervene in the running of Redcar & Cleveland Council. They are imposing ridiculous 'cost cutting measures' and increasing the cost to the community. They have removed vital services and have done very little to regenerate a community already in rapid decline.
Charges as follows:
1. Heavily criticised by the Quality & Care Commission for its inability to protect vulnerable people and care if offers older people.
2. Apply a 3.5% Council Tax increase refusing the Governments payment offer.
3. Continuing to build a vertical pier against the criticism of the majority of residents.
4. Applying charges to recycling/recycling bags.
5. Imposing a 25p a day fine on the late return of childrens books in a community where education levels are not at their highest.
6.In fighting between councillors over spending cuts.
7. General ineffective/obstructive administration of services.
