Allow other parties to give response to petitions when they reach 10k signatures
It is unfair that only the government can give a response to people's concerns when there are opposition parties with voting power that may have different policies and no voice to express this to the electorate who have raised the issue.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because this would be a decision for the political parties concerned and not the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions on petitions.parliament.uk are directed to the UK Government and Parliament. It would be up to other political parties to decide whether they wished to comment on a petition that reached 10,000 signatures or not. If a petition is debated in Westminster Hall then the two largest opposition parties will usually attend and speak in the debate, but it is a decision for them as to whether they wish to do so.
