Compulsory afforestation for any development causing deforestation
UK housing and development is resulting in large areas of woodland being cut down with no compulsory laws to replant areas with new woodland to offset the losses. This petition is to make laws or legislation to enact compulsory afforestation of other areas to the same size as areas deforested.

This developer was allowed to gain development permission after deforesting a large area of UK countryside without any further consequences, with increasing pressure to protect our woodlands it would suggest developers like this would need to replant an equivalent sized area of forest before housing development can commence.
