Protection for Polyamory.
Polyamorous couples and families do not have the same rights and protection as other couples or minorities in the UK and many other places in the world. Polyamorous people and families should be able to live their lives peacefully without discrimination, from both civil and authority personnel.
Polycule members cannot legally marry more than one partner in the UK.
Polyamory is not yet recognised as a sexual orientation, set social/sexual minority and therefore does not offer the same levels of protection from discrimination in the workplace, socially or authoritative opinions.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It is not clear what you would like to be changed as a result of your petition to enable protection for polyamory.
You may wish to consider starting a new petition that calls for polyamory to be a protected characteristic for the purposes of equality legislation, or for it to be legally possible for marriage to more than partner in the UK.
