Ban selling animals to children.
All across the world thousands of pets are being sold to/for children.
A pet is a commitment but millions each year get put into shelters/rescues and sanctuary’s because the children get bored or lose interest.
Parents. Are you going to look after your child’s pet when they no longer want them?
PETA, had over 7,000 phone calls in 2018 after Easter due to children getting bored of their rabbits! Just think... that poor innocent bunny thought it had a forever home with you.
Rabbits lifespan is 10 years plus. Are you committed?
Guinea Pigs lifespan is 8 years plus. Are you committed?
Cats/Dogs lifespans are 10-15 years. Are you committed?
This needs to stop now. Can you look after the animal when your child gives up on them?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
By law people must be at least 16 years old to buy an animal and adults are legally responsible for the welfare of their children's pets, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
You might like to sign this petition about pet licences, if it calls for something you'd like to happen. You're more likely to get action on an issue if you sign and share a single petition.
