Nursery children to be entitled to holidays and parents not be charged
I believe if a child is in paid childcare i.e. nursery, that child should be entitled to holidays without the parents having to still pay for the childcare which is not being recieved by the provider. Every worker is entitled to 28 days paid holiday (the nursery workers have paid holidays)
I understand that the place needs to be kept for the child BUT if you have given the provider notice, that gives the provider a opportunity to allow extra sessions for other children.
Why should families have to suffer thinking not only are we paying thousands for a holiday, but also will still have to pay for childcare while you are on holiday.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government and Parliament is not responsible for the operation of private nurseries, including their individual charging policies when children are not present.
