Have “Meat Free Monday’s” in schools
Every week, schools should have one day when they don’t serve meat. This will benefit the environment greatly. This is also a much easier way for everyone to take part in saving our planet.
2,500 gallons of water are needed to produce only 1 pound of beef. Animal agriculture is responsible for 91% of amazon destruction. 60% of the world’s biodiversity loss is due to meat consumption.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Unfortunately we can't accept your petition as it isn't something for which the Government or Parliament are responsible. Individual schools or their governing bodies could make the decision to hold meat free Mondays, or similar schemes.
You could consider starting a petition on your local council's website or starting a local campaign to bring about the change you would like to see.
