Discount on house prices for young people trying to get on the property ladder.
There is an over 60s scheme where people can purchase a 3 bedroom house for half the price if they are a single 69 year old man... This would be more beneficial for the younger generation trying to get onto the property ladder and buy their first home.
There should be an under 30s scheme that entitles Young people to the same discounts and benefits as the homewise over 60s scheme. The elderly do not require 3 bedroom houses and young people will benefit more from these discounts.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because Homewise's scheme is a private sector initiative and isn't supported by the UK Government or Parliament. We are therefore unsure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
The UK Government does run a shared ownership scheme for people over 55. You could start a new petition calling for a similar scheme for under 30s if that's something you would like to see happen:
