Increase maintenance loan as 21% of UK students have to work 2 part-time jobs
One third of UK students have to work part time. 21% have to work 2 part time jobs. This is unacceptable and would be unnecessary if maintenance loans were substantial.
Other students such as student nurses work for free for the NHS and should also be provided with extra support as these hours could take up valuable time that could be used for a part time job to support them.
