Reverse HMRCs VAT increase on low carbon tech inc solar panels & battery storage
Parliament declared an environment & climate emergency this month. In October, VAT on some renewables inc. solar panels and battery storage, will increase to 20% while fossil fuels inc. gas and coal will remain at 5%. The increase penalises consumers who wish to reduce their carbon footprint
This contradicts the government’s commitment to tackling climate change.
