Ban the sale of shark cartilage
The truth is, if you use these products you are wasting your time, money and contributing to the decimation of the planets oldest predators. Shark populations have dropped by 90% in the past 30 years, they are killed for their fins, livers, flesh and cartilage.
On average 7 humans are killed by sharks each year around the world but humans slaughter over 100 million of these to make soup, cosmetics and supplements. Sharks have survived 5 mass extinction events, they have been around for 420 million years, do you think we should be responsible for their extinction ?
Sharks play a vital role as apex predators of the oceans, they regulate marine life and maintain a balance. We must act now if we are to save this beautiful, intelligent and gentle fish.
