Petition Action

lower the petrol and Diesel prices on the UK forecourts

Petition Details

Fuel prices today don't seem to be regulated. On monday you could pay 125.9 a litre but then on Tuesday it could be 127.9 then again come Friday it could be up again.

Additional Information

It's time the so called government stops ripping drivers off and give back. It's soon going to be a case of you can't afford to fill up car because they only care about themselves. The UK has high fuel prices with a very low wages for a lot of households. Time to get something back instead if lining the government's pockets

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Forecourt petrol prices are set by retailers.

You could start a petition asking the Government to reduce or remove fuel duty, or to set a cap on fuel prices, if that is what you would like to see happen.
