Petition Action

To create an equal minimum wage for all ages.

Petition Details

The Government's National Living Wage does not apply to those under the age of 25, who can be paid as little as £3.90 per hour if they are an apprentice or £4.35 otherwise.

Additional Information

Some people under 25 are parents like myself I am 20 with a 2 year old girl living on £6.15 an hour working full time when at the end of the month after paying bills and food you are left with barely anything for a day out let alone enough to go on holiday once every two years.

Why should I be paid much less then my other colleagues for doing the same job and the same amount of hours pay should be equal.
