Add drain nets to waste drainage systems to stop plastic from entering the sea.
After seeing this tested by Australia, I believe it's time we take further action in saving our planet. Unessary amounts of plastic are entering our seas every single day, and this could be a great step in the right direction. A small change to our drains could make a huge difference to the world.

'The new system of filtration managed to collect more than 800 pounds of garbage for a few weeks only.'
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because this would be a decision for the owners of the waste drainage systems and not the UK Government or Parliament.
You can find out more about who is responsible for waste drainage systems here:
www.ofwat.gov.uk/nonhouseholds/supply-and-standards/public-and-private-sewers/
You could start a new petition calling for the Government to fund a pilot system of drain nets if that is something you would like to see happen.
