Make it compulsory for local councils to plant three trees for every one felled.
Our local park is loosing its biggest oldest tree and we need trees to combat climate change. One large tree can supply a day's supply of oxygen for four people
Trees are being felled by councils all over the country because they are deemed to be too old too and costly to preserve or are diseased and dangerous. We need trees to improve air quality, to reduce the the local temperature and to combat local flooding in paved areas. Trees create an ecosystem to provide habitat and food for birds and other animals, absorb carbon dioxide and potentially harmful gasses, such as sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, from the air and release oxygen.
