UK Parliament to take back responsibility for the law on abortion in N. Ireland.
Women in Northern Ireland do not have the same access to abortion as the rest of the women in the UK. Making abortion illegal does not stop it. It just makes it more unsafe and limits access to the most vulnerable in society who cannot afford to travel to England to get access to safe termination.
A previous petition to legalise abortion in NI was rejected as UK parliament does not have responsibility for the law on abortion. It's time to change that.
