Petition Action

Retain Charles Darwin on new £10 notes

Additional Information

The undersigned believe that Charles Darwin should be retained as the portrait on the Series F £10 notes issued by the Bank of England and therefore petition the Treasury to request this of the Bank of England.

Darwin is more than a great Briton, he is a symbol of reason and clear-thinking known throughout the world, primarily due to attempts by holders of opposing beliefs attempting to have his theories banned from schools.

Having Darwin on our money is a sign to all the peoples of the world that we do not allow the beliefs of any minority to retard the education of our children.
