Petition Action

Change UK Party is not democratically voted in, why do they have mp status ?

Petition Details

The uk public vote for candidates to start new parties to obtain seats and support. The change UK party are an unelected party made up of mps that have left their parties, so they have given up their status they were elected for and by the uk public. They should not be heard in parliament

Additional Information

No seats of the party exist.
Why do they still receive MP payments and recognition ?
They have left their elected role given to them by the public and have set up their own party with their own opinions and agenda that was not voted for initially by the public. In addition the public voted for their initial recognised elected party.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
