Raise the army joining age to 18

Petition Details

At 16 one is still legally a child. They can't buy alcohol, drive or vote so why should they be allowed to join the army?

Additional Information

Army adverts are inescapable and target the young and vulnerable with 'be the best'. Among the dangers of young recruitment are higher rates of PTSD, suicide and homelessness.
