For the government to subsidise electric cars, making them more affordable
The carbon footprint of the average UK person per year is 13 tonnes. A big proportion of this is through transport, by 2030 carbon emissions need to be Halved to ensure temperatures don’t rise above 2 degrees.
How can this be achieved without the masses taking action? A good start is shifting our transport network to using energy from a more renewable source.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
The Government already provides a grant towards the costs of some low emission vehicles: www.gov.uk/plug-in-car-van-grants
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what else you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
