Petition Action

Market Research Companies should abide by the Telephone Preference Service

Additional Information

Currently market research companies like MORI don't need to abide by the TPS database because they aren't selling anything, meaning it is possible for an ex-directory, TPS registered company to be called.

However, due to the increasing tendency of market research companies to call a number multiple times, usually at unsocialable hours and without stating who they are working for, it is my belief that all market research companies should abide by the TPS code and only contact telephone numbers that are not present there.
