Ban farmers from using antibiotics
Farmers are using antibiotics on animals to make them grow faster or help them survive in cramped, stressful, unhygienic conditions. This is not fair and cruel.
When antibiotics are used on livestock, it can contribute to the expansion of drug-resistant bacteria. Which is a potential risk to public health.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because we're not sure what action you would like the Government to take. The use of antibiotics as growth promoters in animals was banned in the UK and the rest of the EU in 2006.
