The Electoral Commission is not fit for purpose and should be replaced.
The denial of the right to vote for EU citizens is enshrined in EU law and should have been approached in a manner in accordance with the way the election was hastily called and consequently streamlined. The government acted in way as to subvert the democratic process.
The government tried to stymie EU citizen's democratic rights to vote in the EU elections by enforcing lengthy bureaucratic processes, negligence and not responding in a reasonable manner to redress these problems. All government officials elected or otherwise that were involved in this subversion should be held accountable, either by sanction or legal recourse.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned that some EU citizens were unable to vote in the European elections but we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
