Prime Ministers should be elected by the public not appointed by a party ballot
The country is tearing itself apart, Parliament is divided and incapable of agreeing anything positive. The leaders of all parties have failed to articulate a vision of the future that is coherent or that has any hope of unifying the country.
For the second time in three years the Conservative Party are going to appoint our next Prime Minister. There’s no requirement that they go to the country to determine how we should be lead at this critical time. On all sides of the Brexit debate we hear ad nauseam of the importance of Democracy and listening to “the will of the people.” How then is it right that the people yet again have no say in who leads our government and thus the country for the next three years?
