National Insurance Contributions, why not do you have to keep paying after 65

Petition Details

I have just reached the age of 65 and after being told my NI Contribution stops at 65 I have now been told it is Nov 19, as my state pension age has had 6 months added. I will have paid 50 years contributions yet you only need 33 years to qualify!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
