To remove or reduce Parliament’s recess dates whilst there is a national crisis
During this declared National Crisis over Brexit, which currently grinds this country down economically and physically, I petition Parliament to reduce the summer recess time table, in order for MPs to have more time to find a way forward, or a resolution.
About the recess, Labour’s Margaret Hodge stated in 2013 “We are not spending enough time in Westminster, and this creates a democratic vacuum. The executive can go on and you cannot hold them to the account. It feels as if we are hardly working."
