Petition Action

Apply restrictions to a possible second brexit referendum

Petition Details

I don’t think that an option of a second referendum should be given, it’s non democratic. If politicians are stupid enough to push for one then restrictions must be in place. The first vote was in 2016 so a second vote should only be for people who were eligible to vote in 2016.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because it's not clear what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take. It's not possible to call a referendum solely for people who voted in a previous referendum and it's not clear what you would like such a referendum to achieve.
