Abolish the Tampon Tax
Period Poverty refers to a lack of access to sanitary products due to financial constraints, such products are taxed as a luxury items in the UK.
Due to this over 10% of people in the UK suffer from period poverty. In this area, the UK is failing and action is needed. This is due to the Tampon Tax.
It is shocking that 137,700 children in the UK have missed school due to Period Poverty. The Tampon Tax was an EU regulation, the majority of the UK voted to leave the EU so let's leave the Tampon Tax too.
