The British goverment should stand up for religious freedom
How can we remain silent while Christians are being persecuted? A new evil is sweeping the Middle East and the Foreign Office is failing to confront it. (Daily Telegraph 22/12/11).
The British government must raise issues of religious intolerance with foreign powers and if satisfactory assurances are not received regarding specific injustices then action (sanctions etc.) should be used to show our willingness to defend this human right.
