Reform Child Maintainance Service method of calculating payments

Petition Details

The method that the Child Maintainance Service uses to calculate how much non residential parent pays in maintenance is unfair and unjustified.

Additional Information

Change to use the non residential parents NET income not including bonuses or overtime.
Using Gross income means that the non residential parent is expected to pay a percentage of money that has already been paid to HMRC through income tax.
Bonuses are often not regular or one offs that should not be included.
A non residential parents overtime pay should not be included.
Contact cost should be deducted from the maintenance payments.
