Where MP's have changed Parties there should be a Bye Election
MPS, are elected to honour the mandate their party puts forward. If an MP leaves that party then the people who voted for them (a majority) are no longer represented in Parliament.
Anna Soubry was elected on the Tory manifesto to leave the EU. The majority of her constituents voted to leave. She has changed to a party that wants to remain in the EU, therefore her constituents are no longer represented. The constituency should have a bye election in order to discover whether the constituents still want them to represent her.
This should apply to all similar cases
