This petition wishes to:
a) Make it illegal to sell sport and entertainment event tickets for more than face value (i.e. profiteering) – either online or in person in the vicinity of an event. This will act as an extension to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, section 166 – Sale of tickets by unauthorised persons – which currently restricts re-sale of football tickets only. Aforementioned legislation is found here: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1994/33/section/166
b) Mandate sport and entertainment venues to offer a legitimate return/re-sale facility for ticket holders should they not be able to attend the event.
