End the 15 year rule for overseas voters
British citizens living overseas are currently entitled to be registered to vote in UK Parliamentary elections for up to 15 years in the constituency they were registered in before leaving the UK.
The Conservative Government stated that it is committed to ending the 15-year limit and introduce 'votes for life' but to date has not implemented legislation to end the 15 year rule for overseas voters and enable British Citizens living and working overseas to vote in UK general elections and referendums in the UK. This must be dealt with sooner than later.
