Petition Action

The re-introduction of native species in the U.K.

Additional Information

Due to excessive hunting over the last 500 years throughout the U.K., the country is left with dangerously low level of bio-diversity.

I propose the goverment allow specially designated permits to rural areas of the country (especially the Highlands of Scotland) to allow the re-population of wolves, beavers, brown bears, lynxs and other species of mammals, birds, insects and plants that were once part of this countries natural fabric.

This scheme would not only help bio-diversity, but would increase tourism, create jobs, keep deer and rabbit populations down and also increase the publics awareness and interest in British nature and wildlife.
