Give Bank Holidays for Mayday 2020 and for VE Day on Friday 8th May 2020.
VE Day is celebrating a 75 year anniversary on 8th May 2020 which falls on a Friday. The Government is wanting to switch the usual Bank Holiday on Monday 4th May to the Friday 8th May and cancel the usual bank holiday on Monday 4th May. We are asking to keep it on Monday or give us 2 holidays .
We are asking for the bank holiday to stay as it is or allow 2 Bank Holidays on the Monday and Friday 4th and 8th May. This has happened in the past to celebrate the wedding of Prince William on 29th April 2011.
