Keep free tv license for 75 year olds

Petition Details

The government is to allow the BBC to scrap free tv licenses for people of 75 years and over in 2020 . Only the poorest ie those households where at least one person is on pension credit will qualify for free tv license.
People who just missed this by a borderline amount will not qualify .

Additional Information

The government have always up until know been responsible for the tv license fees , but have given that responsibility to the BBC . The BBC paid an external consultancy company who have suggested scrapping the free license for 75 year olds and over .
