Offer Educational Psychologist Assessments to children identified with SEN
Parents with children identified as SEN should be offered a compulsory educational psychologist assessment to assess childs needs in Nursery/Reception.
Children are currently awaiting long waiting lists for their mental health and government cuts means schools are struggling. This assessment can identify needs at the earliest opportunity.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about children with SEN, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure whether you want assessments by Educational Psychologists to be compulsory or offered as part of a package of support.
The Code of Practice for schools and other organisations supporting young people with SEN says that SEN coordinators should liaise with other specialists, including Educational Psychologists, as necessary so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. You can find out more about the Code of Practice here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
