To tax all tv companies I.e, sky, virgin media, amazon video and any like this, to cover the hole that the BBC cannot fill or the government cannot seem to find the money for, the over 75 bill,

By taxing the other tv corporations the ground for the tv industry will be a fare playing field and bringing back progams like the F1 to main stream TV and programmings that the BBC has lost,

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you'd like a changes to the way that the BBC is funded. However, TV companies are already required to pay tax, so we aren't sure exactly what changes you'd like made to the funding model.

You could start a new petition asking for free TV licences for over 75's if that's something you'd like to see happen.
